Unwanted hair on the face or on the body affects a huge number of women. Some women are likely to develop hair growth where they don’t want it usually during the onset of their puberty period. Unwanted hairs are usually specific traits that are inherited, through families or races.

I. Ways To Get Rid Of Hair:

1. Shaving

This is done either through electric razors or a disposable razor held by hand, that can give about three dozen of smooth shaves. Applying a shaving cream on wet skin will be helpful in achieving a smooth appearance. While this method is very fast, easy and painless, the results are brief; usually will last 2 – 3 days. New hair growth can be bristly giving you rough and even legs that are painful to the touch. Avoid razor burns:

- Always shave with a new blade.
- Shave thoroughly, applying as little pressure as possible, paying special attention to the curves.
- Wash off shaving cream with cold water.
- Apply an aftershave.
- Pat with a towel to dry the area well.
- Smooth on lotion to skin.

2. Waxing:

Waxing is a method of epilation, meaning the hair is plucked from beneath the surface of the skin. The results of waxing can lasts long for several weeks. Waxing involves two techniques, warm and cold waxing. Both can be easily done at home with the use of waxing kits. Warm waxing is usually performed in a salon and more effective compared to cold waxing. Pain is dependent to each individual’s threshold. Hand pressure is applied so discomfort can be minimized. The waxed area will remain red for a few hours.

- In a warmer, wax is heated until it melts.
- Using a spatula, the warmed wax is then applied to the skin.
- A paper or cloth strip is positioned over the wax until cooled.
- The cooled wax becomes slightly hard and the strip is pulled to the direction opposite the hair growth.

3. Depilatory Creams:

These creams work by dissolving the hair on the surface of the skin, which normally takes ten to fifteen minutes. It is applied to the skin and leaving it for a few minutes then washed off using a towel or a sponge. With this method, hair can grow back as fast as shaving and some depilatory creams have unpleasant odors. Chemical depilatories are mainly used for the under arms, arms and legs. Using it on the face will cause irritations unless it is stated in the label that it is safe for the face. Thin hairs are damaged faster than thick ones; therefore these creams may be not effective on certain areas of the body and in some individuals. When applying the cream for the first time, test it first by rubbing a small amount onto an area of the skin. Wait for a few minutes and see if it causes a reaction on your skin. If it does, do not use it. Read and follow the instructions carefully, the manufacture has provided instructions for safety. Do not leave the cream on your skin longer than what the label says for it could irritate your skin.

4. Electrolysis

This method is done by destroying the roots of the hair with an electric current, thereby loosening the hair follicles, and removing it with tweezers. This is a simple process where a very thin needle that is electrically charged is inserted into the hair follicle, where the hair is coming out. The follicle is then zapped with electricity and destroyed.

5. Laser

Hair must be in a growing stage during this treatment, reason why laser is done on a few sessions. All follicles are always not on the same phase and all not at the same time and each stage or phase of hair growth can last from two to six months. Growth, regression and resting are the stages of hair growth. This method disables the ability of the follicle to make more hair. The stage growth and hair darkness will determine how many sessions is required to get rid of all unwanted hairs. Once the session is finished though, one could go on for life without unwanted hairs.

When it comes to fitness modeling, most people think it’s simply a matter of being in shape. If you have got muscles, you can be a fitness model. The fact is a fitness modeling career involves more than being in shape. It requires a knowledge of posing techniques, as well as hard work, dedication, and more.

Of course, while the body is not the only aspect of fitness modeling, without an exceptionally fine tuned body, you won’t get anywhere in the industry. The fitness model’s physique must be well defined and in perfect proportion. This will require a dedication that not many have and will involve many hours working out in the gym, as well as following a healthy, but strict.

Knowing your look and studying it is also a factor in being a fitness model. A fitness model should spend time in front of the mirror to study their look. They should know what their face looks like when making a certain expression or feeling a certain emotion. While the body may be the main focus of many shots, the wrong facial expression can ruin a shot.

The mirror should also be the place where the fitness model practices her poses. Knowing all of the required bodybuilding poses is a definite plus in the business and they should be able to do these poses without any explanation needed. The fitness model should practice their posing techniques daily, as well as take the time to learn and practice new techniques.

Another important factor in becoming a successful fitness model is to know the lingo of the trade. When you are asked to show up to a open call and to bring your camp card, if you don’t know what this means, you are not going to get the job for this photo shoot. Anybody interested in becoming a fitness model should study the modeling industry’s lingo to make sure they are aware of what is being asked of them and they will be prepared to go to any casting.

If one has not had any modeling training, they should sign up to attend classes at a modeling school, this may give you an advantage over others that have not. A modeling school can teach an individual how to walk, as well as how to dress and pose. However, before enrolling in any modeling school be sure the school is affiliated with an agency that has a great reputation. You will also want to check with the Better Business Bureau to see if they have had any complaints against them.

When an individual is pursuing a career in fitness modeling, it is very important they find an agency to represent them. Again, they will want to do thorough research before signing with any agency. Find out if they deal with fitness modeling regularly and if possible, try to get represented by an agency that has done previous work with well-known fitness models.

Perhaps the most important factor in determining one’s success in the fitness modeling industry is dedication. When setting out to begin a career in fitness modeling, an individual must not give up for any reason. The fact is the successful fitness model will be turned down for jobs, regardless of how in shape they are. It simply may be a fact they don’t fit the part the client is going for. Developing a thick skin is necessary in the world of fitness modeling.

The truth is there is no one secret to becoming a fitness model, there are many factors that will influence how well one does. However, by committing oneself to hard work and fully educating themselves in the industry, one will stand a much better chance of becoming a successful fitness model.

When traveling across the country for a vacation or otherwise, it’s important to ensure that your car is in good working order. In the following article, we’ll discuss things that you should check out about your car before you take any long trips, ensuring that you won’t encounter problems while putting your car through this prolonged stress.

Check all the lights in your car. If there are any dead bulbs, replace them. Also, be sure to clean the dirt off of your headlights, taillights, and break lights. Remember that out-of-state police officers don’t tend to take kindly to those with out of state license plates, and keeping your car in proper working order is of the utmost importance.

Check your windshield wipers. If they streak, or they’re getting old, they may cause trouble should you encounter rain on the road. When in an unfamiliar territory, it’s important to have the clearest vision you can while driving.

Check the battery. There’s nothing worse than ending up with a dead battery in an unfamiliar area, and it’s a problem that occurs often. If the battery is over three years old, or causes the car to crank slowly when starting, it’s time to get the battery replaced.

Check your tire pressure. Wheels go through extended wear when taking a long trip, and they are more prone to blowouts when not properly inflated.

Check your engine’s hoses and belts. If they are cracked or chipped, get them replaced to ensure there won’t be any trouble with them.

Make sure all of your car’s fluids are topped off. Be sure to keep extra coolant and oil in your car in case the trip brings the levels of your fluids down.

While driving the car at home, take note of the temperature gauge. If your car’s engine is heating up too rapidly, it may overheat on a long trip.

Get an oil change. Fresh oil will help ensure that your engine is running smoothly and properly.

Take your car into your local mechanic and have him give it an inspection. There are parts of the car that you cannot properly examine yourself and it is important to ensure that your car is in perfect working order before taking any sort of an extended trip.

Get a spare tire aside from the donut that comes with the car. These spares can only last up to 50 miles, and when in an unfamiliar area, it may be a while before you can find a mechanic. Getting a tire that matches up with the others that you have on your car is of some importance.

Gaining respectful popularity throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada, the beautiful Frost Fire Mountain Alpine Ski Resort in northeast North Dakota. Frost Fire Ski Resort is a popular 25-acre alpine ski area for individuals and families, developing into one of the future generations of ski towns. Although this is not a large alpine ski resort, it is a great deal of fun, and perfect for family ski and snowboarding vacations. Located near Walhalla, the second oldest town in the state, picturesque present-day Pembina River Gorge gently winds its way from north of La Riviere, Manitoba, Canada, on downward to Langdon, North Dakota. Traveling by auto or bus, Frost Fire is seven miles west of Walhalla ND on Highway 55.

Considered a day-area ski slope, area statistics show that Frost Fire Mountain has an elevation of 1,346 feet and a vertical drop of 345 feet, with an annual snowfall of 240 inches. With a total availability of 3 lifts, the ski resort has two lifts consisting of 1 double and 1 triple chair, with one surface lift – a rope tow/T-bar; and has a 1,500 person lift capacity per hour. Ten ski trails are available for beginners, intermediates, and experts, while skiing and snowboarding guests each have separate terrain areas. Complete outfitting for all guests can be found for skiing, tubing, or snowboarding activities, with the option of private and group lessons available per hour, or a snowboarding lesson.

When the day is over, a pool and a hot tub can be found at the Super 8 in Morden MB, or a cozy Eagles Nest Bed & Breakfast can be found at Cavalier, ND. Either way, there are a number of motel accommodations in the surrounding areas, including the Walhalla Forestwood in Walhalla ND. There are many restaurants to choose from or you can eat at the Frost Fire Daylodge Cafeteria at the resort.

Several Canadian reviews refer to its low prices and excellent half-pipe. Almost all of the skiing visitors felt it was a wonderful place to learn how to ski, especially if you brought your family. The staff was friendly and was quick to wait on the, so they didn’t have to wait very long. You can buy your food and drinks there OR brown bag it with an excellent place to eat it at. Very few reviews on it were unfavorable, and everyone liked it for family.

If you are not too busy on the slopes, there are area antique shops to visit, or historical sites to see as well. To provide ski maintenance, Frost Fire Mountain Resort has precision stone grinding and base repair, along with ski tuning and waxing available overnight, or while you wait. This resort may be small, but based on skier ability, has everything a person can ask for. Why wait?

It’s true that when reviewing the most romantic place on earth, it is better visited with your husband or significant other, than with your children. However, timing is everything, and the opinion I render is shared by the sophisticated judgment of Matthew and Alex, (ages 12 and 10) who at this point in their careers as Junior Hotel Reviewers, said it all when they labelled Santorini, and our beautiful hotel, Ikies (+30 22860 71311), as the most romantic place on earth. I have high hopes for their future as husbands and challenge the women they marry to match their ability to define the perfect ambiance. Truth be told, you can judge the ultimate in guest service by how hotel staff treats children, and these children were treated like the future honeymooners they are. Today’s child is tomorrows guest, after all.

What makes the perfect hotel: location, beauty, attention to detail, comfort, and personalized customer service. Judge for yourself — a cliff-top location overlooking the Caldera and white pristine city of Oia, sunset views, huge terraces with foutons, lounge chairs, umbrellas and private hot-tub, robes, slippers, in-room lap top with cordless high speed internet (in case your crazy enough to keep in touch with the outside world), kitchenette (though you won’t need it), fluffy comforters, star-lit nights. Am I saying too much? Sorry, I’m not finished. What about personalized service that makes you feel as if you have personal butler service that you haven’t paid for? I’ve been wordy, but it could hardly be helped.

I’m hardly finished. Finding the perfect hotel isn’t enough when you’re on a romantic vacation. An over- the-top romantic dinner is also a virtual necessity. I suggest Katikies. You will be perched on a promontory overlooking the sea and the cliffs of Oia. The lights will dim automatically in direct proportion with the setting sun. Your white tablecloth will glow pink as the sun sets. Three waiters will serve you simultaneously as you dine. You will not have room for dessert, but you will order it anyway — preferably the chocolate pyramid stuffed with chocolate mousse.

If you are planning on booking a flight the second you finish reading this, here is some additional quick information for your edification: Best Sunset view: Kastro Restaurant (Tel: 22860 71045 Best Massage: Prem Amura, (Tel: 694 6140 532) Best Car Rental: Auto Europe: (Tel: 22860 71200). Now, find an affordable flight, call the hotel, tell them to book you dinner at Katikies and Kastro, ask them to request a Citroen convertible or some other fun car with Auto Europe, and have a glass of champagne at sunset. Do not forget to toast Alex, Matthew, and I for recommending to you the most romantic experience ever.

Washington, DC was originally established by the Constitution of the United States in 1789. George Washington, the nation’s first president and figure in which the city was named after, chose the land where the city would originate. The area adjoining the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers was chosen because it was already a bustling port for tobacco and wheat shippers. More importantly, it was an area that was centrally located between the North and the South.
Washington D.C. is an amazing reflection of the nation it represents. As the capital city of a country, which is the biggest “melting pot” in the world, it truly does offer visitors a glimpse of American culture and subcultures at their finest.

Leaders from all over the world convene in this city to discuss business and politics, as well as to socialize. As a result, you can find activities, restaurants, and attractions that not only provide insight and education to those who visit, but also offer a cultural experience unlike any other. Discover a variety of dining options that satisfies tastes across all palates. Where else can you sample Ethiopian cuisine, catch a Washington Nationals baseball game, and walk along the Potomac while the cherry blossoms are in bloom, all in one afternoon?

With the metro-area population going beyond 1.8 million, Sacramento has earned a reputation of being one of the fastest growing areas in California. Apart from being the state capital, it is also a flourishing shipping and processing center for vegetables, fruits, rice, wheat and dairy products. Sacramento has also witnessed a phenomenal growth in the number of restaurants emerging in the city due to a heavy influx of tourists from neighboring states. Sacramento may not be the hottest tourist destination but has a little of everything that is required to make it a good holiday spot.

Sacramento has a rich and inspiring culture and its museums stand testimony to its magnificent golden era. From its old cultural heritage to its hero governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, everything about Sacramento appeals to the rich tastes of the affluent class. Spending a quiet evening on a private cruise along the pristine Sacramento River is a perfect romantic getaway for many.

High-end luxury tourists can enjoy a soothing cruise on board the famous 110-foot long foot paddlewheeler, the Spirit of Sacramento on the calm Sacramento River.
The Delta River Cruise ferries the rich tourists from the historic ports of the Sacramento Delta to the San Francisco Bay and back.

What are you doing this weekend? Imagine yourself by the fire in a cozy cabin. The weather outside may be frightful, but New England is the perfect place for a last minute romantic getaway. If you’re in the mood for love, New England has just the right mood for you. Here’s just a small sampling of the delicious romance you can find in one of the coziest winter holiday spots in the country.

When All You Need is Each Other’ What could be more romantic than a weekend ‘ or midweek special ‘ in a New England Bed and Breakfast? From the Maine seashore to the Green Mountains of Western Massachusetts, there are hundreds of cozy inns and homes that open their doors to couples looking for the ultimate in romance. Step back in time at a local inn and cozy up together by the fireplace in your room. Bundle up and take a walk beneath the stars, or enjoy a midnight skating party on a frozen lake, or wrap up together for a romantic sleigh ride through a wintry wonderland. There are so many ways to light the spark that you’ll find yourself coming back again and again to rekindle the romance in your relationship.

A Romantic City Getaway Romance blossoms even in the snow! A romantic Boston weekend is a surefire way to heat up your winter. Whether you choose to spend the weekend in a four-star luxury hotel or stay in a cozy turn-of-the-century inn, you’ll find dozens of romantic activities to create a lifetime’s worth of memories. Stroll hand in hand at Faneuil Hall Plaza, enjoying the Market atmosphere and the wide range of dining choices, then dress for dinner at the Four Seasons celebrated Aujord’hui Restaurant, named the city’s most romantic restaurant. Spend Saturday afternoon ice skating on Boston Common, weather permitting ‘ or make an excursion to the North End to find Mike’s Pastry, the home of the very best Italian pastry outside Italy. You can walk off the indulgence with a walk along the Freedom Trail and a hand-in-hand stroll through the Public Gardens. If you’re looking for a little night life, you’ll find everything from hard rock grunge clubs to sparkling ballroom dancing. A favorite choice ‘ jamming at the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, where the drinks are cheap and the floor is always open.

Getaway to the Cape In the summer, Cape Cod bustles and bursts with tourists and families intent on getting their week out in the sun. Winters on Cape Cod are an entirely different story. With the tourists gone, you and your amore will have beautiful stretches of sandy beaches to yourself. Windswept shorelines and dunes for romantic walks under the stars contrast with cozy, fireplace cottages and cabins. Skip the hotel dining rooms if you’re going for a romantic Cape Cod getaway, and find an off-season rental.

Motorhomes for hire come in all shapes, sizes and prices. The trick is to find a motorhome to suit your requirements and budget.

There are a few styles of motorhome to choose from, with varying levels of comfort and price. Smaller vans are easier to handle, but larger vans offer more comfort. If it’s your first time, I suggest you go for the largest van that you feel happy to drive, within your budget.

A hightop is basically a van conversion with a specially made high fixed roof. These come in various lengths, short, medium and long. These sizes refer to the wheelbase, which is the distance between the front and rear axle. Motohomes with a medium wheelbase are popular hire choices as they are easier to handle than the long wheelbase versions, whilst still offering a good degree of comfort. Some companies also offer motorhome hire with folding roofs. The above types of motorhomes are often referred to as camper vans.

Coachbuilt motorhomes (C class) are generally a lot larger than campers and are more like a house on wheels. Most will have all the comforts of home and often a double bed. Many of the designs have a bed area which sits over the top of the drivers cab. These motorhomes can be expensive to run and hire.

Fuel costs are a definite consideration for many when deciding to hire a motorhome. This problem has been taken on board by some rental companies and manufacturers. Many motorhome hire companies now offer vans that have been converted to run on LPG. This should at least half your fuel costs.

For most people, the hire cost is a definite consideration when looking to hire a camper or motorhome. My advice is to not overstretch your budget on the rental cost. Part of the enjoyment of the motorhome is being able to visit and enjoy new places. If you are a couple, a medium wheelbase motorhome should provide you with good overall comfort levels, ease of use and at a reasonable price.

One thing I should mention is that insurance cover for motorhome hire can be expensive and you should know up front exactly what you are covered for. Take time to review the policy. Remember to comply with most insurance policies you should carry out the daily maintenance tasks on the motorhome as specified by your rental agent.

You’ve booked the motorhome hire, now what.

Well it really depends on what type of holiday you are looking for. If you are using the motorhome as a base to visit new places then to get the most out of your hire, it’s always a good idea to plan your route in advance. This means that you will know each day where you are going and don’t waste any time deciding where to go while on your holiday.

Of course for some, there will be no route and hiring a motorhome is all about the open road with a new adventure each day.

Cruises are becoming an increasingly popular vacation choice for families. There are many cruise lines that cater to families. They offer child care for the little ones, clubs filled with activities to keep school age children occupied all day long, and teen lounges where older kids can play on gaming systems, use the Internet, listen to music and watch movies to their heart’s delight.

With all of these amenities specifically geared for kids, it would seem that parents shouldn’t need to worry much about bringing anything more than a few changes of clothing for their children. However, the child care rooms, kid’s clubs and teen lounges aren’t open 24/7, and kids do end up spending down time in their rooms with their families. When packing for kids on a cruise, there are many things that parents need to remember to bring in addition to their clothing.

For Infants and Toddlers:
* Diapers, swim diapers and wipes (pack more than you think you’ll need – you may be able to purchase them in the cruise ship’s store, but you’ll pay a hefty premium)
* Pacifiers – bring a few extra
* Ziploc type bags to dispose of diapers – the trash in your room is only disposed of once a day
* Plastic bottles/sippy cups
* Hand sanitizing lotion
* Port a crib; booster seat for dining; stroller for on board or off board excursions – the cruise line may provide these or rent them, find out before hand
* Night light
* Disposable bibs
* Sun hat
* Children’s sunscreen
* Prescription and over the counter medications
* Thermometer
* Band-Aids and antibacterial ointment
* Favorite stuffed animals, books, coloring books, crayons and toys
* Inflatable swim aids
* One or two more outfits than you think you’ll need
* Portable dvd player, extra batteries, and movies

For Grade School Children – At this age, children should have a hand in the packing of their own entertainment items:

* Night light
* Sun hat
* Sunglasses
* Children’s sunscreen
* Prescription and over the counter medications
* Thermometer
* Bandaids and antibacterial ointment
* Favorite stuffed animals, books, coloring books, crayons and toys
* Travel board games
* Inflatable swim aids
* One or two more outfits than you think you’ll need
* Portable dvd player, extra batteries, and movies
* Portable gaming systems such as Game Boys or PSP’s
* Portable music devices such as MP3 players or CD players
* A disposable camera or two to allow kids to take pictures of whatever they want
* A journal

For Teenagers – At this age, teens should handle the responsibility of packing for themselves. Help them to make a packing list so they don’t forget anything important and check their bags once they are packed:

* Protective sunscreen
* Sunglasses
* Prescription and over the counter medications
* Thermometer
* Bandaids and antibacterial ointment
* Favorite books and travel board games
* Portable dvd player, extra batteries, and movies
* Portable gaming systems such as Game Boys or PSP’s
* Portable music devices such as MP3 players or CD players
* A digital or disposable camera to allow teens to take pictures of whatever they want
* A journal
* Cell phone – especially if you will be going on excursions off the ship

Making sure that you have these extras will ensure that you have supplies in case of an emergency, protection from the sun, and plenty to entertain your kids on the ship.
